11th Grade came to a close and now I am back on my creative gear. I had a lot of fun lately writing my latest script-the eXplosion Script-for the fractal community. It came after the success of Arcane Library, by "success," of course, I mean "personal attachment". The effect involves involves large rectangular "petals" being blasted into the oblivion by the force of an unknown vortex that was created by what looks like a scallop in the middle. That should tell you a thing or two about my personality.
After my computer decided that it no longer like my apophysis parameters, it deleted it all, throwing the secret to the effect into a digital void. I was quite sad, actually, because some of my all time favorites were in there, including "Transgressor's Path" that has been on display on my profile page for the last year or so. Sad, isn't it.
Stubborn and diligent as ever, I, after putting it off for 2 years, decided to crack my own flame and recreate it. Turns out that it wasn't so complicated, it required only three bloody transforms and variations or something. Unsatisfied with my discovery, I jacked it up on dope and crack only to end up with a flame that has at least double the amount of transforms and variations a the old one.
After playing around with it and trying to understand what abomination I've just made, I realized that I find the effect even better. In addition to the geometric shapes being blow away into the oblivion by a vortex-generating scallop, I added rays and a magic-circle-pad-thing to the flame, both of which became the core of the eXplosion Script.
Then, I remembered the statistical success of my previous scripts and thought that it might be a good idea to create another one since I liked the effect so much, even more than the Marble Scripts. Should boost my reputation a bit

About halfway through the process of writing the script, I remembered my tutorial "Developing a Liner Fractal" that received quite a fair bit of positive response. So I decided to include a tutorial into the script, much like the LazysusanXrectangleS Flamepack-Turorial. Rather than making just a simple compilation of screenshots and alphanumeric characters*, I find that these "hybrid tuts" are more interactive and, therefore, effective in teaching Apophysis beginners how to actually use the program.
*Some of the tutorials that I have seen on deviantART only tell the audience what numbers to put where and not actually going into detail about what exactly they're doing, which I find quite un-educational.
P.S. Thanks to =deadened-glow for llama
